Progressio

Progressio

For the communities we work alongside in 11 countries worldwide, climate change is also water change. And water’s vital for development. That’s why we support small-scale farmers to grow drought-resistant crops, or reduce their vulnerability to flooding. And why we work with public authorities to make sure fair and sustainable access to water for people in poor communities is a priority from Peru to Yemen. And it’s why we successfully lobbied for action on water to be included in the UNFCCC process. We also work throughout the UK to change lifestyles and policies with our brilliant community of supporters. We’re Progressio. People powered development.
Quaker PSW

Quaker Peace and Social Witness

Quaker Peace & Social Witness (QPSW) is a hub for local and national Quaker action for peace and justice and is committed to nonviolent social change. It supports Quaker witness in local communities and represents Quakers at a national level to parliament, government and the general public. The sustainability work carried out by QPSW aims to support Quakers in Britain to make real their commitment to become a low-carbon, sustainable community. It also supports Quakers to campaign about climate change, and engages politically on behalf of Quakers on issues of sustainability and peace.
Salvation Army

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is a worldwide Christian church and charity. We put our beliefs into practice through a programme of practical action, serving our communities, supporting those in need and fighting for social justice.
sciaf

SCIAF

SCIAF (Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund) is Scotland’s leading international aid and development agency. We work in over 15 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America responding to humanitarian disasters and providing some of the world’s poorest people with practical support so that they can work their way out of poverty and towards a better life. Here in Scotland we campaign to address the root causes of poverty and injustice so that we can create a fairer world for all people.
SEC

Scottish Episcopal Church

The Scottish Episcopal Church is a welcoming and inclusive Church that traces its history back to the beginnings of Christianity in Scotland. We are part of the world-wide Anglican Communion - a family of some 70 million Christians in more than 160 countries. The vulnerable and those in need are of particular concern to us. Justice, peace, and the care of the environment are also areas in which our members are actively involved. As a church we support a variety of mission and development projects at home and overseas.
SPEAK

SPEAK

Tearfund

Tearfund

Tearfund has a big vision which we've been bringing into being since 1968. We know there's God-given-potential in poor communities. We work with local churches to unlock this potential. With your help, we've seen millions escape extreme poverty - permanently.
Westminster Justice and Peace

Westminster Justice and Peace

Westminster Justice and Peace has long worked promote the importance of being responsible ‘stewards of creation’ or protectors of the environment. We see global issues such as refugees, war, peace and climate as fundamentally linked: the Vatican statement, ‘If you want peace, protect creation’ resonates with us. Our cycling pilgrimage to Paris is an exercise not only in awareness-raising amongst our members, but also towards solidarity with others for the same goals.
