CTC Scotland

At local level, CTC members form Member Groups which also have many of the attributes of a Cycling Club - organising runs, tours, competitive events and training, as well as campaigning for cycling at a local level. CTC Scotland brings together representatives of these Member Groups and other organisations to discuss and deal with matters relating to cycling in Scotland. There are many local cycling clubs and several cycle campaigning groups in Scotland and the rest of the UK. CTC is the one body which embraces all kinds of cycle use and interests.

Baldernock Community Council

We are a small parish of around 280 households 7 miles north of Glasgow. Our closest town is Milngavie and we are a largely dispersed rural community but include the villages of Bardowie and Balmore. We have a thriving playgroup and primary school, a church and we are home to the Balmore Trust, a charity. We were lucky enough to secure Climate Challenge Funding and ran a project which ended in March 2011. We carried out energy surveys and held awareness-raising events and think there has been a lasting positive effect. We were the first Community Council to join SCCS.
BMSworldmission

BMS World Mission

From legal work to surgery, food projects to education, BMS works with local partners, among the most marginalised and least evangelised people in the world. We strive to make Jesus known and share the full life he brings. We consider creation care as key to our values, and carefully assess the environmental impact of our projects.
British Humanist Association

British Humanist Association

Humanists for a Better World (www.h4bw.org.uk) is a "special interest" sub-group, run by volunteers and mainly web-based, of the British Humanist Association (www.humanism.org.uk), the national charity working on behalf of non-religious people who seek to live ethical and fulfilling lives on the basis of reason and humanity.
British Mountainteering Council

British Mountaineering Council

The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) is the representative body for England and Wales that exists to protect the freedoms and promote the interests of climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers. The BMC works to encourage our members and the outdoor sector to minimise their impact on the natural environment and is committed to working with organisations and land managers to ensure we are aware of best practice.
CAFOD

CAFOD

CAFOD is the official Catholic aid agency for England and Wales. We work with partners across the world, wherever the need is greatest, to bring hope, compassion and solidarity to poor communities, standing side by side with them to end poverty and injustice. We work with people of all faiths and none. We work with more than 500 partners overseas, and with partners in the UK - all working to reduce poverty. Inspired by Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching, and the experiences and hopes of people living in poverty, CAFOD works for a safe, sustainable and peaceful world.
Cambridge Carbon Footprint

Cambridge Carbon Footprint

Cambridge Carbon Footprint involves, informs & inspires a wide range of people in the Cambridge area with practical activities and support to make big, permanent reductions in their carbon footprints - based on understanding what helps people change their behaviour and moves us collectively towards a low carbon society. Our Carbon Conversations, a series of engaging meetings focus on values, emotions, lifestyle and identity as well as the basic facts of climate change, leading to many participants halving their carbon emissions.
Campaign against Climate Change

Campaign against Climate Change

The CCC exists to secure the action we need - at a local, national and, above all, international level - to minimise harmful climate change and the devastating impacts it will have. To that end the CCC seeks to raise awareness about the gravity and urgency of the threat from climate change and to influence those with the greatest power to take effective action to do so with the utmost speed and resolution.
CAPPI

Campaign for Air Pollution Public Inquiry

There are thousands of people dying every year from air pollution throughout the UK. The reason that air quality strategies have failed is because they have not been evidence based. A Public Inquiry will scrutinize why previous strategies have failed so that proper action can be taken in the future.
Campaign for Better Transport

Campaign for Better Transport

Our vision is a country where communities have affordable transport that improves quality of life and protects the environment. For 40 years, working with hundreds of thousands of inspiring people, Campaign for Better Transport has fought for better public transport, walking and cycling, for the sake of communities and the environment. An independent charity, we work by providing well-researched, practical solutions to transport problems, pressuring national and local government to adopt them, and empowering ordinary people up and down the country.
Cap and Share

Cap and Share

Cap & Share is a way of capping carbon, an alternative to Cap & Trade, carbon rations, or carbon taxes. Cap & Share is fair, simple, practical, effective, cheap, easy and empowering. It is not a tax - it puts us in charge, and it protects the poor. Don't let anyone tell you "it's not that simple". It is. We need to act quickly and decisively, and Cap & Share stands ready as an example of how to do it.
