350.org works in almost every country in the world, leveraging people power to dismantle the influence and infrastructure of the fossil fuel industry, and to develop people-centric solutions to the climate crisis. In the UK 350.org is a lead partner in the fossil fuel divestment movement and Fossil Free network.

 
 

Action Aid

ActionAid is an international charity that works with women and girls who are living in poverty. They seek a just, equitable and sustainable world in which every person enjoys the right to a life of dignity, freedom from poverty and all forms of oppression. They aim to achieve social justice, gender equality and poverty eradication by working with those living in poverty and exclusion, their communities, people’s organisation, activists, social movements and supporters.

 
 

AirportWatch

AirportWatch is an umbrella movement uniting the national environmental organisations, airport community groups, and individuals opposed to unsustainable aviation expansion, and its damaging environmental effects, including climate change and noise. It aims to oppose any expansion of aviation and airports likely to damage the human or natural environment.

 
 

Alton Climate Action & Network

Alton Climate Action & Network (ACAN) brings together people from Alton and surrounding villages to take action to improve biodiversity and reduce carbon emissions from food, transport, energy and purchasing “stuff”. ACAN also lobbies and works in partnership with local government and aims to provide reliable and trustworthy information about the climate crisis. Their groups include Action on Plastics and Waste, Local Action for Nature and Cycle Alton.

 
 

A Rocha

A Rocha UK is a Christian charity working for the protection and restoration of the natural world, both as a response to the biblical mandate to care for the earth, and as a demonstration of the Christian hope for God’s world. They do this through practical involvement in nature conservation projects and ecological research, by campaigning on biodiversity issues, and by engaging with churches, schools, communities and individuals.

 
 

Ashden

Ashden showcases transformative climate solutions in the UK and developing countries around the world. They help scale up and replicate best practice using our awards, events, networks and analysis. In the UK, Ashden seeks to create an enabling environment for their Award winners work to prosper by supporting local authorities to deliver their climate action plans. Through their Let’s Go Zero campaign they are uniting schools working to become carbon zero by 2030.

 
 

Barn Owl Trust

The Barn Owl Trust, founded in 1988, remains a ‘grass roots’ organisation working with landowners to deliver practical conservation. Additional work areas include science, education, and owl care. We are the main source of Barn Owl information dealing with over 4,000 enquiries a year and the main source of relevant training for Ecological Consultants. The Trust became a landowner in 2001 and authored the Barn Owl Conservation Handbook (2012).

 
 

Bedfordshire Climate Change Forum

Bedfordshire Climate Change Forum (BCCF) is formed by a group of people who share a deep concern about the threat and effects of climate emergency on us locally and on the peoples and biodiversity of the planet. They join with others to promote awareness of the urgent need to keep global temperature rises preferably below 1.5 degrees and certainly below 2 degrees as agreed by 195 countries in Paris 2015.

 
 

Ben and Jerry’s

Ben & Jerry’s is an ice cream company with a difference. Throughout their 40-year history, they’ve tried to make the best possible ice cream in the nicest possible way, and to use their platform to champion issues of justice and equality.

 
 

Black2Nature

Black2Nature was founded by Mya-Rose Craig AKA Birdgirl when she was 13 years old, after she organised a nature camp for Visible Minority Ethnic teenagers. It organises nature camps & events to engage young people and families with nature and the environment, such as climate change, especially the impact on families abroad. It also works with environmental organisations to make the sector ethnically diverse, organising conferences as well campaigning on diversity.

 
 
 

Borderlands

Borderlands works with asylum seekers and refugees in Bristol. They provide front line services, from a mentoring project to a community space, food provisions, English lessons, destitution support, housing, signposting and support with legal funding. Their aims are to support asylum seekers and refugees with integration and empowerment and find a sense of belonging in their lives and within their community.

 

British Canoeing

British Canoeing is responsible for leading and setting the overall framework for all the National Associations and includes areas such as coaching, competition and representing canoeing interests at a UK level. Canoeing now covers a wide range of interests and passions as a sport and a leisure activity, and British Canoeing’s mission is to help and inspire people to go canoeing. They want to support and provide opportunities for everyone to enjoy and realise their potential within all aspects of canoeing regardless of their age, background or ability.

 
 

British Mountaineering Council

The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) is the representative body for England and Wales that exists to protect the freedoms and promote the interests of climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers. The BMC works to encourage their members and the outdoor sector to minimise their impact on the natural environment and is committed to working with organisations and land managers to ensure they are aware of best practice.

CAFOD

CAFOD is the official Catholic aid agency for England and Wales. They work with partners across the world, wherever the need is greatest, to bring hope, compassion and solidarity to poor communities, standing side by side with them to end poverty and injustice.

 
 

Cambridge Carbon Footprint

Cambridge Carbon Footprint involves, informs & inspires a wide range of people in the Cambridge area with practical activities and support to make big, permanent reductions in their carbon footprints. They are based on understanding what helps people change their behaviour so as to move people towards a low carbon society. They have a series, known as Carbon Conversations, which are engaging meetings that focus on values, emotions, lifestyle, identity and basic facts of climate change, leading to many participants halving their carbon emissions.

 
 

Campaign Against Climate Change

The Campaign against Climate Change exists to secure the action needed - at a local, national and, above all, international level - to minimise harmful climate change and the devastating impacts it will have. To that end the CCC seeks to raise awareness about the gravity and urgency of the threat from climate change and to influence those with the greatest power to take effective action to do so with the utmost speed and resolution.

 
 

Carbon Copy

Carbon Copy is a UK charity that helps accelerate local climate action by convening councils, communities and companies who share the vision of a carbon zero future. Carbon Copy celebrates their success stories and inspires action by sharing high-impact, low-carbon initiatives for others to copy or adapt. They offer fresh perspectives and bold ideas, for those who are already involved and those still discovering what role they might play.

 

Carbon Neutral Cambridge

Carbon Neutral Cambridge is a not-for- profit organisation, supporting the rapid reduction of the greenhouse gas emissions of the wider Cambridge region, ultimately to reach a net zero level, and in such a way as to maximise social equity and health. Their work focuses on influencing key local decision makers through campaigns, advocacy, research, events and public communications.

 
 

Centre for Alternative Technology

The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) is an education, research and visitor centre demonstrating practical solutions for sustainability, inspiring, informing and enabling people to achieve positive changes in their personal and work lives and within their local communities.

 
 

Centre for Sustainable Healthcare

The Centre for Sustainable Healthcare is renowned for its work on sustainable healthcare research and practice and provides strategic input and consultancy to national and local programmes. Their greenspace projects, especially their NHS Forest, assists organisations to improve their natural environment and reconnect their staff, patients and the wider community with their local green space to benefit their health.

 
 

CeraPhi Energy

CeraPhi Energy was founded on the basis of wanting to contribute to global net zero targets through the development of geothermal energy projects. The Earth can provide enough natural 24/7 baseload energy to power our existence for over 6 billion years. Geothermal has been used for thousands of years, long before electricity, yet globally we have less than 15 Gigawatts of commercial installed capacity. CeraPhi has developed innovative and reliable new technology solutions to make Geothermal Everywhere a realistic proposition.

 
 

Christian Aid

Christian Aid is a Christian organisation that insists the world can and must be swiftly changed to one where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty. They provide urgent, practical and effective assistance where need is great, tackling the effects of poverty as well as its root causes.

 

Church of England Environment Working Group

The Church of England, part of the world-wide Anglican Communion, is a Christian presence in every community in England. They strive to know God and make God known. The Environment Working Group’s role is to enable the whole church to fulfil its calling to nurture and care for God’s creation, through setting plans, agreeing policies, and monitoring progress towards tackling the climate and ecological crises. They aim to work closely with other denominations and faith groups.

 
 
 

Citizens Climate Lobby

Citizens’ Climate Lobby UK is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organization, one of some 300 chapters of the global movement begun in the US in 2007 and endorsed by George Marshall, Nicholas Stern, James Hansen, and Bill McKibben (350.org), among others. CCL trains and supports volunteers to engage elected officials, the media, and the public, in order to generate the political will to enact a Carbon Fee and Dividend policy.

 

Climate Emergency UK

Since 2019, Climate Emergency UK has been supporting campaigners and councils in the UK to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030, and has created Council Climate Scorecards to measure council’s progress towards net zero and their Climate Action Plans.

 
 

Climate Friendly Bradford on Avon

Working in partnership with the people, organisations, schools and businesses of the Bradford on Avon Community Area, Climate Friendly Bradford on Avon is embarking on an ambitious journey to become carbon neutral by 2050.

 
 

Climate Outreach

Climate Outreach is a charity that formed in 2004 to directly engage the public about climate change through the use of innovative action learning methods and by assisting people to communicate their own messages to their peers.

 
 

Climate Psychology Alliance

CPA is a forum for psychological therapists and others seeking insight into the problem of human engagement with our climate and ecological crisis. They seek to foster awareness of denial as a defence against threatening information, through understanding of the harm already done and of future uncertainty.

 
 

Climate Stewards

Climate Stewards is a Christian carbon offsetting charity. They invite individuals, churches, charities and businesses to ‘reduce what you can and offset what you can’t’. By providing a means to do this, people are empowered to start taking control of their carbon footprint, and feel that they are part of the solution as well as the problem.

 
 

Columban JPIC

The Columbans are a society of missionaries, including priests and lay people, who minister to people of various cultures as a way of witnessing to the universal love of God. Climate Change is a priority issue and is seen as a challenge to be missionary in the 16 countries where Columbans work.

 
 

Commitment for Life - United Reformed Church

Commitment for Life is the world development programme of the United Reformed Church. It encourages participating churches to take action, pray and give for people across the world but especially in our four partner countries of Bangladesh, Jamaica, Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory and Zimbabwe.

 
 

Community Energy England

Community Energy England (CEE) was established in May 2014 as a not for profit organisation to provide a voice for the community energy sector and help create the conditions within which community energy can flourish. They do this by coordinating the grassroots work of our sector and by advocating for supportive policies at national and local levels.

 
 

The Cooperative Group

The Co-op is the UK’s largest consumer co-operative, with 4.6 million active members. They’re a food retailer with over 2,600 stores of their own and they’re a food wholesaler servicing 1,300 shops owned by independent co-operative societies and a further 4,000 independent retailers including NISA and Costcutter shops. The Co-operative group are also the largest funeral provider in the UK, provide life planning services, and sell insurance products.

CPRE is the countryside charity that wants a thriving, beautiful countryside for everyone. They believe in countryside and green spaces that are accessible to all, rich in nature and play a crucial role in responding to the climate emergency.

Create The Future is a UK-based and youth-led creative climate project that seeks to create a vision of a better future to empower action and inspire optimism through storytelling and creativity. We transform eco anxiety into positive action, informed by the research of leading environmental communications agencies.

 

Crowdhouse Energy

CrowdHouse Energy Limited is powering change through innovation and positive reinforcement. Their expertise in PV’s, EV’s and Hydrogen means they are well placed to improve and develop new ways for onsite renewable energy generation (OREG), power management and long-term energy storage to achieve any Net Zero target.

The Derby Climate Change Coalition is a campaigning group that brings together a wide range of organisations and individuals, who support and want to take part in activities that inform, influence and raise awareness about the effects of global warming.

Earth Cubs is an environmental learning platform for primary schools that promotes positive storytelling, planet-saving gaming, and action-based learning about sustainability, the environment and climate change.

 

Eco Action Families

Eco Action Families aims to educate families on the climate and ecological crisis and inspire action in homes, schools, workplaces and communities. They work closely with the Just One Tree campaign, which raises money for reforestation. Eco Action Families supports the youth strike movement and we actively promote awareness of specific campaigns such as Stop Ecocide. They believe action comes in many forms and their blog shares all kinds of eco action stories!

 

Edible Landscapes London

Edible Landscapes London are a community education project, specialising in forest gardening – a food growing design system that observes natural ecosystems. 

Empowering communities to act in response to global issues at a grassroots level, is a heartfelt aspect of our work. They host volunteers, outdoor education, and propagate resilient perennial plants.

 


Environmental Alliance Project

The Environmental Alliance Project’s aim is to connect and inspire communities across the UK at many levels to get involved in climate and animal activism. EAP combines a virtual and physical effort in communities, providing the platform to engage people in these issues as a collective force.

Environmentally Conscious shows people how to fight climate change at home. They are a non- profit project that aims to add a professional voice to the issue while maintaining a clear message about the actions people can make to drive positive change on the environment. Fairtrade Foundation

Fairtrade is a simple way to make a difference to the lives of the people who grow the things we love. They do this by changing the way trade works through better prices, decent working conditions and a fair deal for farmers and workers in developing countries.

 
 

Faith for the Climate

Faith for the Climate exists to encourage, inspire and equip faith communities in their work on climate change and acknowledge that climate change is the biggest and most urgent challenge facing humanity. The Faith for the Climate Network is a space for people of faith working on climate change to come together, learn from one another, encourage and support one another in our faith based work on climate change. They encourage and equip each faith community to continue to reach out within their own community, to leaders and people of faith not yet engaged on climate change; and together to speak up on national campaigns in the media and with politicians.

 

Friends of the Earth England, Wales & Northern Ireland

Friends of the Earth is an environmental campaigning community dedicated to the wellbeing and protection of the natural world and everyone in it. They lead campaigns, provide resources and information, and drive real solutions to the environmental problems facing us all.

Giki’s mission is to help people cut their environmental impact. They provide accessible, independent, transparent information to help people change habits to live more sustainably. They also provide free digital products to help people live more sustainably: Giki Badges, their mobile app, helps people find more sustainable and healthy products in the UK supermarket; Giki Zero is an interactive, step by step guide to a sustainable life, which enables people to understand, track, and reduce their environmental footprint.

 

GlosCAN

GlosCAN is a group of citizens in Gloucestershire who are extremely concerned about climate change and the impact on current and future generations and believe climate change is a non-party political issue.

 

Green Christian

Ordinary Christians, Extraordinary Times: Green Christian exists to share Green insights with Christians and to offer Christian insights to the wider Green movement. Since they were formed in 1981 the ecological crisis has continued and deepened. They seek more urgently to live gently on the earth, encouraging one another in discipleship which accepts our impact on God’s creation as a whole.

 
 

Greenpeace

Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and behaviour to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace. They defend the natural world and promote peace by investigating, exposing and confronting environmental abuse, and championing environmentally responsible solutions.

 
 

Havant Climate Alliance

Havant Climate Alliance is working across the Borough to promote awareness of the climate emergency and the steps needed to tackle it, and to persuade local decision- makers to take fast and effective action. They want to involve a range of local groups to secure a zero carbon future, a green economy and an environment that prioritises biodiversity, active travel and community cohesion.

 
 

Hope for the Future

Hope for the Future is a climate charity which works to equip communities, groups and individuals across the country to communicate the urgency of climate change with their local politicians. Their vision is to see communities and their elected representatives across the UK come together to take decisive action on climate change.

 
 
 

Hope Valley Climate Action

Hope Valley Climate Action’s purpose is to take effective action on the climate emergency in the Hope Valley in the Derbyshire Peak District. They work at three levels: raising awareness; local action; and advocacy.

 

Humanists UK

Humanists UK is the national charity working on behalf of non-religious people. Powered by over 85,000 members and supporters, we advance free thinking and promote humanism to create a tolerant society where rational thinking and kindness prevail. Their programme Humanists for a Better World brings together activists to take individual and collective action on international ethical and sustainability issues, including climate change.

Inter Climate Network

InterClimate Network is a virtual network of associates and expert volunteers working with secondary school students on climate initiatives. They provide: peer-led climate action insights & learning, UN-style climate conferences, platforms for young people to engage local and national decision-makers, and the Secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Youth Action Against Climate Change.

 
 

International Voluntary Service

The International Voluntary Service is a peace organisation working for the sustainable development of local and global communities. We are a leading charity which has existed since 1931, involving volunteers in international exchanges at home and abroad. IVS is a member of Service Civil International (SCI), a network of like-minded branches and partner organisations supporting the exchange of volunteers to work on projects of direct benefit to local communities.

 
 

Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Sciences

The Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Sciences (IFEES) is a UK registered charity operating internationally, through programmes designed to increase knowledge and awareness, alleviate poverty, combat climate change and deal with other major environmental issues.

 
 

Islamic Relief

Islamic Relief is an international aid and development charity, which aims to alleviate the suffering of the world's poorest people. I4ONE is an individual action scheme to help tackle climate change, which is free for individuals to join. It aims to put pressure on leaders and maximise the impact that we can have as individuals. 

 

The Jane Goodall Institute UK

The Jane Goodall Institute UK advances the vision and work of their Founder, Dr Jane Goodall DBE & UN Messenger of Peace.  Since 1988 they have been helping animals, people & the environment in the UK and Africa. They also empower young people across the UK to spread hope through action, through a free schools programme called ‘Roots & Shoots’.

 

Jesuit Missions

Jesuit Missions is the international development and overseas mission office of the Jesuits in Britain. They work alongside the Jesuits and their partners throughout the world with a faith that does justice, providing healthcare, education and responding to emergencies. Jesuit Missions work collaboratively to empower local communities and we increasingly see the problems of climate change impacting on the communities with which we work.

 
 

Jewish Social Action Forum

The Jewish Social Action Forum (JSAF) and its 22 member organisations aim to promote, develop and activate the Jewish community’s pursuit of social action, to leave the world a better place than it was found. JSAF and its member organisations recognise that social action is a central component of contemporary Jewish identity and expression.

 
 

John Ray Initiative

The John Ray Initiative (JRI) is an educational charity with a vision to bring together scientific and Christian understandings of the environment in a way that can be widely communicated and lead to effective action. It was formed in 1997 in recognition of the urgent need to respond to the global environmental crisis and the challenges of sustainable development and environmental stewardship.

 
 

Just One Tree

JUST ONE Tree is a non-profit initiative removing CO2 from the atmosphere through global reforestation. They plant trees in areas severely affected by mass deforestation whilst helping to provide training, agricultural education and sustainable incomes to the affected communities. They concentrate on restoring the entire ecosystem by planting on land, in the oceans and helping to bring environmental education into the classrooms.

Keep Britain Tidy is an independent charity with three goals – to eliminate litter, end waste and improve places. This means more to us than just picking up litter. It means creating clean beaches, parks and streets. It means creating sustainable practices and eliminating unnecessary waste.

 

Kendal Torchlight Carnival

Kendal Torchlight Carnival is one of the largest and oldest night-time parades in the North West and has hosted an annual carnival for over 50 years.

 

Larger Us

Larger Us is a community of change-makers who share the aim of bridging divides rather than deepening them, who want to transform relationships rather than defeat enemies, and who recognise that achieving these things is about psychology as much as politics.

MCS Charitable Foundation is an independent UK-wide charity whose mission is to accelerate the widespread adoption of renewable energy and low carbon technologies. Their vision is a world where everyone has access to affordable and reliable renewable energy and low carbon technologies – for the benefit of our environment, our communities and the general public.

 
 

Meat Free Monday

Launched by Paul, Mary and Stella McCartney in 2009, Meat Free Monday is a not-for-profit campaign which aims to raise awareness of the detrimental environmental impact of eating meat, and to encourage people to help slow climate change, conserve precious natural resources and improve their health by having at least one meat free day each week.

 

MedAct

Medact’s mission is to support health professionals from all disciplines to work together towards a world in which everyone can truly achieve and exercise their human right to health. They do this through research and evidence-based campaigning for solutions to the social, political and economic conditions which damage health, deepen health inequalities and threaten peace and security.

 
 
 

Muslim Charities Forum

Muslim Charities Forum is a network of British Muslim charities working for social good at home and abroad. They aim to collectively build a more accountable, transparent and efficient British Muslim charitable sector, to improve their ability— individually and as a sector—to contribute to a more just and sustainable world.

 

National Park City Foundation

National Park Cities are long-term grassroots movements for everyone making their cities greener, healthier, and wilder. London became the world’s first National Park City in 2019, and Adelaide became the second in 2021.

 

National Trust

National Trust is a charity founded in 1895 by three people who saw the importance of our nation’s heritage and open spaces and wanted to preserve them for everyone to enjoy. National Trust protects and opens to the public over 350 historic houses, gardens and ancient monuments; they look after forests, woods, fens, beaches, farmland, downs, moorland, islands, archaeological remains, castles, nature reserves, villages - for ever, for everyone.

 
 

NUS - National Union of Students

NUS (National Union of Students) is a voluntary membership organisation which makes a real difference to the lives of students and its member students' unions. They are a confederation of 600 students' unions, amounting to more than 95 per cent of all higher and further education unions in the UK.

As we increasingly feel the impact of climate change, One Home also helps people to adapt to extreme weather events. As a not-for-profit social enterprise, we pride ourselves on providing accurate, independent and impartial advice that you can trust.

 

One Week

One Week encourages UK citizens to collectively pull up their sleeves, make some sacrifices and focus their efforts en masse over 7 days, to impact a range of the most pressing issues we face today - an implementation of unified action to the things that count.

 
 

Operation Noah

Operation Noah is an ecumenical Christian charity providing leadership, focus and inspiration in response to the growing threat of catastrophic climate change. Our current campaign Bright Now: towards fossil free Churches calls on the Churches and Christian community in the UK to disinvest from companies involved in the extraction of fossil fuels.

 

Oxfam GB

Oxfam is a global movement of people who share the belief that, in a world rich in resources, poverty isn't inevitable. It's an injustice which can, and must, be overcome. They fight poverty at its roots, with simple, smart solutions. When injustice causes poverty, they stand against it. 

 

Oxfordshire COP26 Climate Alliance

The Oxfordshire COP26 Climate Alliance (OCCA) has been set up to ensure that Oxfordshire makes the strongest possible contribution to the success of the COP26 conference. We work with organisations in all sectors to enable better communication and mutual support on COP26 and related work and the planning, co-ordination and carrying out of joint activities

 
 

Peterborough Environment City Trust

Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT) is an independent charity that is challenging and supporting the city of Peterborough and beyond to become cleaner, greener and healthier.

 
 

Population Matters

Population Matters is a membership charity working for a global population size providing a good standard of living for all, a healthy environment and environmental sustainability. Wivey Action on Climate Change was set-up in October 2014 and covers the Wiveliscombe area in western Somerset. They raise awareness, campaign and undertake practical projects. They also work with others in our rural community and with neighbouring groups. Zero Hour

Zero Hour is the mass mobilisation campaign demanding urgent, joined up action on the climate and nature crises. We are campaigning for the Climate and Ecological Emergency (CEE) Bill—designed by world leading scientists—to become law.
