The decisions make now - like swapping expensive, polluting energy sources for clean, affordable ones - mean we can hold our heads high in the knowledge that the UK is doing its fair share to address climate change, and helping the hardest-hit in communities around the world who are on the front lines of the climate crisis.
There will be lots of opportunities to take action and use your voice in the year ahead. By working together to keep people safe, the climate stable and nature protected, we have the chance of a better world.
We know there is a clear public mandate for urgent action to tackle climate change and protect nature. The Local Intelligence Hub showcases the data to back this up and helps you have informed conversations with MPs and political candidates.
In this election year, we need candidates to hear from the constituents they hope to represent that now is not the time to water down climate and nature commitments or slow the pace of action.
The Local Intelligence Hub was developed by The Climate Coalition in partnership with mySociety and Green Alliance. Anyone can access our free and growing library of live data about local MPs, constituencies, public opinion and the climate and nature movement.
By visually bringing this information together in an accessible way on the Local Intelligence Hub we will empower organisations, community groups and individual campaigners to have informed conversations with their neighbours, networks and local decision makers about their community’s support for action to tackle climate change and protect nature.
The Local Intelligence Hub will help boost your local campaigning in the run up to the general election so we can keep climate and nature a top election issue. Together we will show that across the country, people are working for a greener and fairer society, and we need politicians to do the same.
