Last month, you made history at the UK’s biggest ever lobby for climate, nature and people.
This is a critical time, we need to keep up the momentum to ensure the Government puts in place policies that get us on track to slash our emissions.
Will you ask your MP to get in touch with Boris Johnson, asking him for ambitious policies that set the foundations for a cleaner, greener future where the UK does not contribute to climate change?

Dear [Name of your MP],
I am writing to you as a constituent of [your constituency] to follow up from our meeting on 26th June at The Time Is Now lobby.
This was the biggest lobby for climate, nature and people that the UK has ever seen with over 12,000 of us coming out to talk to you, and other MPs, about the need to act now if we’re to curb the worst impacts of climate change and degradation of the natural environment.
I firstly want to thank you for taking the time to speak to [me/us] about the need for urgent action to end the UK’s contribution to climate change and ambitious new laws that create a healthier environment for nature and people. It was good to discuss [insert something you talked about] and to hear that you will [insert something they committed to do].
Now that we have a new Prime Minister, I am writing to remind you to write to Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, on behalf of everyone from [insert your constituency] who attended the lobby. Please will you write to him on our behalves and ask him to:
Immediately legislate to -
End the UK’s contribution to climate change by acting now to slash emissions so we can reach net zero by 2045 at the latest.
Clean up our environment and restore nature by passing a flagship Environment Act.
And
Scale up investment to tackle the climate and environmental emergency fairly and democratically.
Put the environment and climate action at the heart of the UK’s international agenda.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
[your name]
